It's not perfect, but it's about as good a VR gaming experience as is currently available. Especially if you were a fan of the original game, you will not be disappointed. If you own the Touch then I can't recommend this game enough, in fact of all the motion controlled games I've played this is the only one I would say is a "must own". But this is the kind of game that is important to the future of VR - it's incredibly fun, it's fast paced and frenetic, it immerses you, and you don't want to stop playing it till you've gotten all the way through. Literally, there’s a whole new endless mode that provides you with a points score, endless waves of red dudes and some great festive fun Start armed with only a present to throw and then dodge, punch and shoot your way to the domination of your friends. There are flaws of course it's much too short for the current price tag of $30 (only a few hours long), limited range of movement, not being available to Vive owners, and the occasional "why are my hands not doing them what I want them to" moment. The new SUPERHOT VR Boxing Day Update brings this game to a whole different level. VR plans were teased via a Kickstarter backer update earlier this. But Superhot was the first game that made me really believe VR could be the future. The first post-release dev blog from developers SUPERHOT Team has now revealed two important things: one, that the games first batch of DLC will come free-of-charge in the coming months and two, that an Oculus Rift exclusive VR edition is expected to release later this year. Alot of games I've played once or twice, or fire up to show friends and family what VR is like. While visiting Oculus VR at E3 earlier this week I had a chance to play Superhot on the Rift Dev Kit 2 along with Alien: Isolation and an indie 3D platformer, Luckys Tale. I want to preface this preview by mentioning the conditions in which I played Superhot, which I covered in an earlier issue of The Kickstarter Weekly. AWARD WINNING TIME CONTROL MECHANIC Time moves only when you move. Alot of games I've played once or twice, or fire up to show friends and family what VR is Of all the VR games I own, this is easily the best. SUPREME VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE With the support of an outstanding community of fans and backers, SUPERHOT VR gathered over a dozen of Game of the Year awards and remains an absolute must-play for hundreds of thousands of people around the globe. Of all the VR games I own, this is easily the best.
